Teaching in Dubai has always been a fascination profession. There are ranges of schools in Dubai and so there is always a huge demand of teachers in these schools. Both international and indigenous kinds of schools are operating over here, and so teachers specialized in a particular field like music or languages or expert in sports or overall subjects are in great demand. Teaching is considered to be a respectable profession in this society, with high payment.

Teaching Experience for Dubai

Teachers may have different experiences in Dubai. It all depends on the type of school he/she is teaching. If one were in a good school one would enjoy the job, as there are good packages and facilities for the teachers in such schools. But it may not be the case if the school is not well disciplined, as there are cases when even students may threaten them on one pretext or the other. Salaries in these schools are also not satisfactory.

Teaching Time in Dubai

Teaching time for the students varies according to the school. It depends on the curriculum a school is following. Indigenous schools following the UAE curriculum do have same teaching session and class hours with a little difference. Usually, the teaching session runs between July to May. In case schools are meant for children of kindergarten stage, then normally they have shorter class sessions. But it is longer for the children of class 4 to 10.

Teaching period in the international schools operating in Dubai is different. These schools follow either American or British curriculum. Session in the International School following American pattern runs from August to June. The British school in Dubai also follows almost same academic session with minor or no difference.

Requirements of Teaching in Dubai

A teacher in the schools of Dubai has to fulfill all the academic qualifications required by the school he/she is going to apply for. A degree of at least graduation level is the first and minimum requirement. But you will be in a more privileged position if you have acquired the degree of higher level. Secondly, you need to have teaching experience of at least two to three years. But it may be more if the school demands so.

In the international schools you need to have your teaching experiences in a particular country, especially, if the school follows the curriculum of that country.

Newspapers and local recruiters are good sources to extract information about teaching jobs in Dubai. But one can directly approach to the school of one’s interest if there is any vacancy. Salary of teachers can vary and depending on the school. It can be in the range of $2000 - $5000 a month. There are few schools that are paying more than that.
